There have been ongoing reports of metal shavings falling into the dough. Older Hobart mixing bowls are to blame. A lack of management response to the problem will more than likely lead to a future lawsuit. After a worker presented the mixing arm covered in metal shavings, owner of Prairie du chien & Platteville Poppa Murphys Mary Sheckler simply replied, "have there been any customer complaints". The problem is still ongoing and the shavings will go unnoticed for years as they are very small. Until someone is able to prove that their intestinal bleeding was caused by the fragments no action will be taken against them. The person in charge of Wisconsin OSHA Is a personal friend of Mary Sheckler who refuses to take investigative action. Even with proper cleaning and lubrication the problem still persist.
